Introducing the first issue of Carmalarky—the only car-themed literary magazine on this planet.

We’ve been asked if we consulted marketing studies or analyzed the audience. We did not. Maybe that’s a little crazy in this day and age. Nonetheless, we spent the last two years putting Carmalarky together because we are car aficionados, drivers, storytellers, thinkers, writers, photographers, and artists who admit to a love of the metal beasts on four wheels that enable us to move about on this planet.

In this issue you will find 224 four-color pages of carlore: original nonfiction, fiction, art, and poetry by published, award-winning, and exhibited authors, artists, creatives, and humans who found out about Carmalarky and thought, “yep, I’ve got something magical for that” and shared it with us. We are honored to now share it with you.

A couple of years ago Carmalarky was just a spark plug of an idea. We put it out there, into the universe, and the people who are like us—who want to tell the stories of their lives with cars—followed. We think you will find, after putting your hands around this first issue which is heavy enough to be a weapon, colorful enough to delight your eyeballs, and rich enough in story and verse to ignite your auto-centric passions, that Carmalarky fills a void you didn’t know you had.

Issue One is $25 during pre-order.
Regular price: $30
